Vertical Space Concept
Elaborate from design summary, the movable platform could be elevated to the top when the space above is not in use. This provides possible clear headroom of 2.55m below. On the other hand, when the space below is not in use, the platform could be lowered providing a sleeping space with 2.70m headroom. If the space above and below the platform needed to be used simultaneously, the platform could be adjusted at mid-height giving a headroom of 1.375m above and 1.80 below platform, or it could be adjusted to suit the user’s preference.
Taking full advantage of the high headroom, additional storage spaces are located high up in the flat. The open shelf above the sofa not only provides space for storage or decoration, it also integrates with the existing beam and a/c unit, resulting in a neat ceiling profile. The cabinet above the bed provides easy to access storage for items requiring frequent access.
Smart Living Concept
With the adoption of current home automation technologies, users could easily change the setting of the flat to suit their use within their smartphone. Through a smart living application, a user can customize different settings of the space and activate or deactivate certain home automation devices, including the movable platform, to change the function and ambience of the space. Below are some space modes setting for Elio and Evelyn.
Morning Mode
Activate Pre-set (at present time): open curtain not sheer, radio, 5G Wi-Fi, temperature and humidity control (25 degree, 60%)
Breakfast Mode
Activate Pre-set: platform up position, open curtain and sheer, TV, coffee maker, 5G Wi-Fi, temperature and humidity control (25 degree, 60%)
Exercise Mode
Activate pre-set: platform up position, TV at pre-set channel/video, 5G Wi-Fi, lower temperature and humidity control (23 degree, 50%)
Work Mode
Activate Pre-set: platform at mid-height position, lighting brightness control, open curtain and sheer, 5G Wi-Fi, temperature and humidity control (25 degree, 60%)
Party Mode
Activate Pre-set: platform up position, HiFi system, lighting brightness control, open curtain and sheer, coffee maker, 5G Wi-Fi, temperature and humidity control (25 degree, 60%)
Gaming Mode
Activate Pre-set: platform up position, TV at pre-set input channel, Hi-Fi system, lighting colour control, 5G Wi-Fi, temperature and humidity control (25 degree, 60%)
Movie Mode
Activate Pre-set: platform up position, projector on, projector screen down, Hi-Fi system, dim lighting, 5G Wi-Fi, temperature and humidity control (25 degree, 60%)
Sleep Mode
Activate Pre-set: platform at down position, dim lighting, close curtain and sheer, 5G Wi-Fi (off), temperature and humidity control (25 degree, 60%)
Out of Home Mode
Activate Pre-set: platform at up position, IP camera on, lights off, close curtain and sheer, 5G Wi-Fi, temperature and humidity control (off)
